That woman looking so young, vibrant, and pretty is 78 years old. God is giving her double for the troubles she went through. Can I tell you a truth, Joyce is my most favorite female preacher. I’ve been asking God how to have an interview with her on E-life.
Thursday night, I came on DStv to watch her. She was speaking on God’s love and our obedience. She said something that has been eating me since last night. Waking up this Friday at 3:30 am, that message lept on my mind again.
Often, we think when we obey God, He would start loving us specially, His love for us will start increasing. We think we can impress Him, force Him to do things for us because we give tithes or come to church.
According to Joyce, no. The same love God has for you is the same love He would have for you. God is not loving you because of your obedience or righteousness. All our righteousness is like filthy rags before Him. He has loved us and He keeps loving us. If we obey His commandments, we are doing so because we love Him. We cannot impress or bribe Him with anything. Very revealing!
Many of the current preachers in this part of the world would paint God as responding to us because you sow seed, give tithe, support their ministries. They want you to believe that if you don’t give God, God will stop loving you. Joyce said even if you don’t give, God is still loving. Your obedience to Him is a sign of your love for Him and desire for a relationship with Him.
The Message: are you a kidnapper, an armed robber, etc who has killed, butchered so many innocent people and sold their parts to ritualists? Despite all you have done, God still loves you but you are not in a relationship with Him. He wants you back in fellowship. He has granted you an amnesty and know what, He said your sins He would remember NO MORE. The day you say Yes to Him, you become sinless, as innocent as a baby. You have offended no man! Think about that and come back home.
